Creating a Workspace

A workspace is the top-level container in Trackelio. Everything you do — collecting feedback, managing boards, publishing roadmaps, inviting team members — happens inside a workspace. Each workspace is fully isolated, with its own data, settings, and members.

Think of a workspace as a dedicated environment for a product, team, or organization. It holds all of your:

  • Feedback boards and posts
  • Statuses and labels
  • Team members and roles
  • Sites and widget configurations
  • Roadmaps, changelogs, and knowledge base articles
  • Surveys, NPS, and CSAT data
  • Messenger conversations
  • Analytics and webhook integrations

If you manage multiple products, you can create a separate workspace for each one to keep feedback organized independently.

When you sign up for Trackelio and complete the onboarding flow, you will be asked to create your first workspace. This is a required step before you can start collecting feedback.

You will need to provide:

  1. Name — The display name for your workspace. This is shown in the dashboard and on your public board. Example: “Acme Inc” or “My App”.
  2. Slug — A URL-safe identifier that becomes part of your public board URL. It can contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Example: acme or my-app.

After creation, you can update your workspace settings at any time from the dashboard. The available settings include:

SettingDescription
NameThe display name shown in the dashboard and public board header.
SlugThe URL identifier for your public board. Changing this updates your URL.
DescriptionA short summary of your workspace, shown on the public board.
LogoUpload a logo image to brand your public board and widget.

Your workspace slug determines your public feedback board URL:

https://{slug}.trackelio.com

For example, if your slug is acme, your public board is available at https://acme.trackelio.com. Users can visit this URL to browse feedback, vote on posts, and submit new ideas.

Choose your slug carefully. While you can change it later, doing so will break any existing links to your public board.

The number of workspaces you can create depends on your plan:

PlanWorkspaces
Free1
ProUp to 10

On the Free plan, you get a single workspace with access to core features. Upgrading to Pro lets you create up to 10 workspaces, which is useful if you manage multiple products or want to separate feedback by team or business unit.

Once your workspace is set up, you are ready to start organizing feedback:

  • Quick Start — Follow the full setup guide
  • Boards — Create boards to categorize feedback
  • Widget — Embed the feedback widget on your site
