Feedback Collection
Feedback collection is the core of Trackelio. It gives your team a single place to receive, organize, and act on input from your users, whether it comes from the embeddable widget, the public board, email, or your own team.
Feedback list
Section titled “Feedback list”The main feedback view displays all posts across your workspace. You can narrow down what you see using several filters:
- Board — Show posts from a specific board (e.g., Feature Requests, Bug Reports).
- Status — Filter by status such as Open, Planned, In Progress, Complete, or Closed.
- Labels — Filter by one or more labels applied to posts.
- Type — Filter by item type: feature request, bug report, or general feedback.
- Source — Filter by where the post originated: portal, widget, or email.
You can also sort the list by:
- Votes — Most voted posts first.
- Newest — Most recently created posts first.
- Oldest — Earliest created posts first.
- Trending — Posts gaining momentum based on recent activity.
Creating posts
Section titled “Creating posts”Posts can enter Trackelio through several channels:
- Dashboard — Team members can create posts directly from the Trackelio dashboard.
- Widget — Users submit feedback through the embeddable widget on your site or app.
- Public board — Users browse and submit feedback on your public feedback board.
- Email — Feedback sent via email is captured and added as posts.
Each post tracks its source so you can understand where your feedback is coming from.
Post detail view
Section titled “Post detail view”Opening a post reveals its full detail view, which includes:
- Full description — The complete text of the feedback submission.
- Vote button — Users and team members can vote to signal importance.
- Comments thread — A threaded discussion for follow-up questions, clarifications, and updates.
- Status badge — The current status of the post, visible at a glance.
- Labels — Any labels applied to the post for categorization.
- Assigned user — The team member responsible for the post.
Bulk management
Section titled “Bulk management”When you need to act on multiple posts at once, Trackelio supports bulk operations:
- Assign to team members — Select multiple posts and assign them to a team member in one action.
- Change statuses — Move several posts to a new status at the same time.
This is useful during triage sessions or when reorganizing your backlog.
Duplicate detection
Section titled “Duplicate detection”Before creating a new post, you can search for similar existing posts. This helps you avoid duplicates and consolidate votes and comments on a single thread rather than spreading them across multiple entries.
Post relations
Section titled “Post relations”Posts can be linked to each other using relation types:
- Related — Two posts that cover similar or connected topics.
- Duplicate — A post that duplicates another. Consolidate discussion on the original.
- Blocked by — A post that cannot proceed until another post is resolved.
Relations help your team understand dependencies and reduce redundant work.
Importance voting
Section titled “Importance voting”Voting lets users and team members signal which feedback matters most. Votes are weighted, so you can prioritize based on real demand rather than guesswork. The vote count is visible on both the list view and the post detail view.
Feedback sources
Section titled “Feedback sources”Trackelio tracks the origin of every post. The supported sources are:
| Source | Description |
|---|---|
| Portal | Submitted through the public feedback board |
| Widget | Submitted through the embeddable site widget |
| Received via email integration |
Understanding where feedback comes from helps you decide which channels to invest in and how to reach your users.
